Quality Control

Recruitment & Training

|- The recruitment of suitable interviewers with the relevant experience and profile in accordance to the nature of study.
|- The shortlisted interviewers are required to sign confidentiality, Non-Disclosure Agreement and attend ‘Basic Training”* prior to any projects.
|- The regular interviewers will be appraised twice a year and participate in on-going training and development.
|- The attendance of project briefing and training is compulsory before fieldwork commencement.

*Basic Training includes following areas:
|- Introduction & General Principal of Market Research
|- Introduction of JRC
|- Research Methodology, Sampling & Quota Control
|- Interviewing Skill & Technique
|- Use of Equipment
|- Questionnaire Administration
|- Confidentiality & Code of Conduct

Fieldwork & First Check

|- Field witnessing will be conducted especially for new interviewers to ensure that they are up to the job.
|- All Interviewers are required to submit 2 to 3 surveys to ensure that their work is in order.
|- Surveys are checked for completeness, logic, consistency and technique.

Editing

|- The Project Manager/ Project Executive are required to vet and edit up to 10% of each interviewer’s work.
|- The balance will be edited by the Quality Control (QC) Team.
|- The QC Team will perform 100% editing based on check list (e.g. missing answer/page, hidden logic, answer OE, correct routing).

Validation

|- The QC Team will conduct a minimum of 20% validation for every interviewer.
|- The Validation would check on the time taken for the interview, general attitude of the interviewer and most importantly, the collection of factual information, and thus ensuring data is of quality standard.
|- The QC Team will submit the “Validation report” to Operation for record and on-going training purposes. .
|- The interviews that are identified to be of “doubtful” quality will be quarantined and removed from main sample pending further investigation.
